It’s disgraceful the way most hospices are only part NHS funded and mostly rely on charitable donations as does support for palliative care at home. Community nurses do a fantastic job but are less available overnight. We need to do palliative care much better and cover all people dying not just those with an expected trajectory from end stage cancer.
