Using GrapheneOS daily has me on a journey with offline music.
VLC has been a great mobile app to use for music. I save the files locally when I'm away from the house and stream at home with Jellyfin.
I also find music that is not on any streaming services. This could be unique mixes and playlists or old songs not available due to copyright laws.
It has been enjoyable customizing my Jellyfin server libraries.
I miss using memory cards like my old Note 9. I could carry all my music.
