Definitely learned things I wouldn’t have elsewhere likely, like the deeper history of cryptography, money, and distributes systems, but even more wild is it opened the door for me to understand my own field more in depth, and gave me a better pair of glasses to watch for military intelligence, cyberwarfare, and modern means of garnering consensus.
