It’s the men with guns and the men directing the men with guns losing faith in the ideology of the system.
That’s what bought down the Soviet Union.
They didn’t just randomly fiscally collapse - the leaders lost faith in the ruling ideology and the soldiers decided they weren’t going to shoot people for something they didn’t believe in themselves any more.
Japan is outrunning the math and has been since I’ve been alive. If their ruling class stops believing, they’ll be rolled within a year and god only knows what will replace them but good luck to the CIA planting it.
