After days in prison, surrounded by people who risked everything for justice, her words reminded me why we were there. For freedom, for dignity, for life for the Palestinian people
The Palestinian fishers could finally fish in a long time.
They don’t need us to bring them help. They just need to be allowed to live, to work, to do what they know best.
That’s what the Global Sumud Flotilla stood for, not charity, but solidarity.
