The farm tax fightback deploys the 'we grow your food' submission, which is fair.
Timely to remind ourselves however that the lesson of two submarine blockades is that Britain is not self-sufficient in food. As regards warm-climate produce - eg oranges - we NEVER WILL BE. We therefore screw around with our supply chains at our risk - rationing at best. #Brexit saw us playing fast & loose with our food supply chains, & although seemingly normal, our supply resilience is diminished.
