The more I think about "how to I prove this video is real?"
It takes me back to one of Greg Egan (npub12cu…d38p) 's books. I think it was Quarantine?
But in the book describes using colored ribbons of smoke in the hallways, since in the book, AI image generators couldn't spoof chaotic smoke movements, and thus would come out disjoint and not flow properly. Reviewing spoofed footage would show the obvious edit errors.
Maybe we should consider doing this for real. I didn't think we'd see this amount of slop this soon. And it could provide attestation.
