It's a bit of a finicky laptop, especially the wifi (apparently). Was a bit surprised the latest GhostBSD wouldn't load, but neither does FreeBSD on that particular one. Raku, Bonito, you name it, not even past the boot screen. Great about the Slackware install dvd: it doesn't need a network connection to install at first. But it has the right driver anyway 😊 So after install there's always (for me anyway) a xfce session to start tweaking. Later in the process (i.c. after I installed cosmic) I remove that xfce session (and more things). Used that in my last 3 Slackware installs, it works very well.
