Better count that correctly. Al Jazeera claimed just 750, and even that number was poorly sourced. For example Saudi-Arabia had 10 bases for just 381 soldiers. Obviously, base would be the wrong term for an office or even just a mailbox. Germany and Japan had 120 bases each, but I have the impression, they just didn't check a map there, the official German number is "just over 20", Wikipedia lists 20 active bases. And that list includes elementary schools!
