I was invited to a talk on "AI" his evening and I am genuinely terrified by some of the things I heard people say. They treat it like it is something from Star Trek, the Eliza Effect is rampant and they aren't realiisng the limitations of these tools because they are wowed by a constrained and manipulative demo.
