Probably a dumb Q... news from #TampaBay / #hurricane #Milton show multiple #construction #cranes - the kind used to build high-rises - fallen in the St. Petersburg area.
Anyone who has seen these things being assembled knows just how quickly they can be #erected or torn down. They knew the cranes were in danger and could collapse, for the last several days at least.
Why the hell weren't the cranes dismantled/lowered to the ground so they couldn't fall and damage buildings and kill people?
