Exactly this. And this is why I don't subscribe to "Bitcoin is for saving, don't spend a sat". We have a beautiful thing on the internet now - we can use money in the original non-KYC way.

And that's why I am building tools to increase utility of Bitcoin. I see a lot of religious beliefs. "You should be accepting Monero, you are not true cypherpunk!". Or "For payments, I use only USDT and USDC, no tax obligations and it's easier for the merchants".

What we allow is - let the other side keep their religious beliefs. And I want to pay all these people with incompatible religions, as long as they don't want to see my ID. Always better than credit cards. All the power to you and your favourite coin!

One of the primary benefits of money is that you don't have to know your customer. Money's secret sauce: anonymity at scale. No customer dossiers needed. Pre-coin era? Trade jerky for future grain, stare into their soul, gauge if they'll ghost you when blight hits. (Spoiler: they might.)

With money, all this disappears. Meat<->money, exchanging names and life stories becomes an optional pleasantry.
