I frankly don't care if someone hacks into my Linux laptop to find out that I have a github account from the pass' data. Because in this case I surely would have much worse problems to solve.
At least with pass I can leave my smartphone at home, this is much more important to me.

And you probably don't know an asymmetric open source alternative to PGP/GPG either, so this is also out of place.
