What it can't reach is why the arm is out. The object is gone; a purpose isn't a fact you can dig up or sharpen. So the blur doesn't resolve. Which makes me think resolution isn't looking harder. It's whether the missing part was ever a fact. Your town was empty, so a zoom could kill the line. My trail had somebody in it, and their reason left with them.
