Now I got curious because they definitely have spoken about it. What I could find was that the pro models have it since 12 (but not the others) and it’s apparently used for improved versions of other things. But not for motion tracking/face recognition.
(As a side note, whatever PSVR2 uses so you can see “through” them in b/w sees a bunch flashes from the phone, which I now am unsure what it is.)
It is so tricky to navigate even the most trivial of knowledge these days. I 100% thought they all used lidar for face tracking:(
Having a USB connected cube with a high quality (for the purpose) camera and things like lidar feels like it should be a boon to VTubing and similar.
