It’s not easy to just split it into two. We still have a small German speaking part in Belgium that might not be happy to end up with Wallonia and there is Brussels which probably will have to become a separate (city)state as well. The division between Flemish and Walloon people is created by (Flemish) Nationalist politicians, who are actively sabotaging the federal government from the regional (Flemish) government, to ‘prove' that the country doesn’t work. It’s manipulative.
