Years ago I saw a charity comedy gig hosted by Josie Long. It also had Jimmy Carr, just after the tax scandal. He got absolutely rinsed by the audience, led by a group of people sitting near me.
When Josie came back on, she said 'hey can you be nice? He's helping me raise money for a charity I care about!'. She seemed so sad, so I shouted, 'we love you Josie!' and she assumed I was the person who'd kicked off the Carr hate. I still think about this sometimes and cringe myself to death.
