To my understanding, Charlie Kirk was someone who tried to engage people in good faith debate, was honest about his beliefs, and didn't advocate for violence or dismantling democracy.
He seems to have had opinions that'd make me desire to slap someone across the face, but the whole point of living under liberal democratic values means having to curb such feelings and engaging in civil debate. (Or, at worst, yelling at and mocking each other on social media.)
Had this happened to someone like Nick Fuentes, I'd say he had it coming, because his entire career is based on making people as angry as possible against him, but that doesn't seem to have been the case with Charlie Kirk.
Really worried that this event will mark the beginning of an ever worsening spiral of political violence that makes no distinction between people holding guns meaning to harm others, and people saying words that upset others.
