That's easier wished for than done since this is transnational legislation mucked up in trade agreements and the like. Even the UN got involved at some point including literally jamming it into the declaration of human rights for some reason.
Second, copyright is legislation for one single specific expression of an idea. Learning from others isn't governed by copyright, or else artsis would have to close their eyes when they walk past a museum or authors be banned from libraries. More general ideas fall under patents (which we should also abolish) and only methods can be patented, not artistic expressions.
