A lesser version of that is I was a playtester for GURPS #ttrpg books from #SJGames. In a couple of cases I was surprised when I got a complimentary copy and credit for only one or two comments.
One was explaining the difference between nuclear DNA and mitochondrial DNA, and how they differ for casting spells using them for a magical connection.
The other one was a different book where I suggested an adventure seed and workaround for hacking public key cryptography.
