Even my Tory FiL thinks the Haigh story is a bizarre overreaction to a total non-issue. It seems to have been an extremely trivial matter over which police went crackers, and a sudden storm over a known and spent conviction.
When we treat experience of the carceral system as a lifelong stain then we create permanent disadvantage that traps less privileged folk than Haigh in crime
