I'm sorry that you hold that view, because it is very untrue. He has said publicly that he suffered serious and prolonged sexual abuse during his school days. You never know what someone has gone through and an opinion may or may not reflect that, that's a big not in this case. The issue is that while the use of such words and phrases don't bother a lot of us, that is because we've become desensitized to these phrases that do actually perpetuate the way people react to us. Words do matter and we don't get to pick and choose when. The issue with people that die on this hill like Jonathan is that some of them (I think Jonathan knows better) seem to think that this is the only approach to helping solve the unemployment issue and the way we're viewed in general. That's part of it but a small part. What we really need to do is have some way to introduce ourselves and our skills to major companies, but liability concerns would shoot that down quickly! That would help both with unemployment as well as the general view of us because we would get more exposure over time.
