I see it slightly differently. I view the current lending markets to be an artifact of the fiat system. IMHO, the future bitcoin financial system will prefer equity, rather than debt for investment.

Why would I lend out my bitcoin to someone who could lose it all? Would, say, a 10% rate be sufficient? Would I accept a 50% rate if the borrower could lose 100% of my bitcoin? Probably not. There are only 21 million bitcoins and no bailouts.

I believe people will invest their bitcoin but probably only for an ownership share of a business.
