isn’t email centralized today because we let it get centralized, and not because it it is inherently centralized? The rise of webmail drew people to Hotmail and then Gmail. The problem of spam kept them there.
Feels like a failure to adapt rather than a technical problem. (Albeit spam is seen through a technical lens.)
