So after a lot of research I've come to the conclusion that it is safe for Cornbread to eat tuna every day if he wants. Mercury is really only a problem because it has a really high affinity for selenium and will eff up selenium containing proteins in your body. Basically it's like a free radical but it only goes after selenium. Virtually all of the mercury in tuna is already bound to selenium making it effectively neutralized.

However Cornbread doesn't care for white tuna too much and instead he prefers dark meat tuna which is high in selenoneine effectively negating any mercury it has. On top of that it should actually help neutralize any mercury from other sources.

TL;DR: dark meat tuna every day for Cornbread is actually good for him :cornbread_the_cat:
