COTI Launches Nightfall ZK Rollup for Enhanced Enterprise Privacy
COTI has introduced COTI Nightfall, an Ethereum-based Zero-Knowledge (ZK) Rollup developed in collaboration with Ernst & Young (EY). This new infrastructure aims to provide institutions with a compliant environment for confidential transactions on Ethereum, enhancing privacy for enterprise operations.
Nightfall introduces a dual-mainnet strategy alongside COTI’s existing Garbled Circuits (GC) mainnet. The ZK Rollup supports private transfers for various token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, ERC-3525), incorporates KYC-gating for regulated environments, and leverages the native COTI token for fees and governance. This "Privacy-on-Demand" service is expected to facilitate the adoption of Real-World Assets (RWAs), private DeFi, and regulated payment systems by enabling selective disclosure of data for compliance purposes.
Shahaf Bar-Geffen, CEO of COTI, stated, "This dual-mainnet approach delivers the ultimate in programmable privacy, empowering enterprises and builders worldwide." The Nightfall testnet is expected in the coming weeks, with mainnet deployment anticipated later in 2026.
