I am both shocked and bewildered at what I previously knew but once against have experienced first hand.

To cut a long story short, my algorithm test was successful. I won't go into detail but here's the long and short of it:

The more subs you get the more YouTube helps you gain more subscribers, unfairly tipping the scales to those willing to conform with "what's hip".

An unexpected outcome of this test, however, was the response to my videos (which I have not previously received).

I am suddenly getting numerous comments requesting (and demanding) that I add "AI" to every one of my videos. For reasons I won't go into I am against this idea, but understand that having context of what you watch is (somewhat ) important.

It is for this reason that I am currently designing a mascot and planning a rebrand of the channel. The rebrand will make it very obvious that the content is AI and will mean I won't need to change every title.

Despite me offering this solution (One I don't have to offer and can, just as easily, go back on) I continue to get comments on my latest video, demanding that I change my titles by people who (presumably) have never watched a single one of my videos and never will again.

I find it silly, of course, but do feel the need to respond to each concern with as much patience as I am capable. However, the recent ones have had a tone that I find a little... distasteful?

For example: "It's misleading to not specify that it's an AI cover in the title and only leave it in the description, after people have already clicked on it. The voice is also rough compared to others I've seen."

Now, on it's own, the first half of this comment is completely fine (as is the second half). But once we add the context that this is the fifth time someone has commented this, despite me responding to this exact concern, and is choosing to completely ignore my proposed solution then it really feels like "give them an inch and they'll take a mile"

In regards to the second half, it seems as if it's posted not as an actual critique of the content (and a valid one, I've been meaning to stop dragging my ass and train a better pippa model) but rather as a petty "also, you suck". It comes off childish, in my opinion.

Anyway, here's my takeaway:

Respond to every concern, if people choose to ignore your proposed solution then ignore / delete the comment.

I am open to a dialogue, not demands.
