I always hated how someone could block you on Twitter and prevent you from commenting or even seeing their content. Once you put words out into the world they are no longer yours to control. You can't control how people react to them. You can't take them back or make people forget you said them. They become public domain.
Likewise you can't make people listen either. If someone doesn't want to see you in their feed that is their choice, not yours. If you don't like what Blockstream (npub1jg5…6n8n) is doing with zapvertising then block them! If advertising of any kind becomes a too big of a problem then choose a client that blocks them for you. You do not have to suffer from ads if you don't want to. Choosing not to listen to someone is not censorship, it's freedom.
