Brand new laptop with #Linux (Ubuntu) arrived yesterday, now using games as a gateway drug to Linux/#FOSS for my teenage sons. This is good #parenting, right?
Fresh in high school, my sons are wading deeper & deeper into the IT biotopes of their new schools & classmates. Biotopes dominated by big tech, Snapchat & other woes.
Sure, I get that they don't want be the odd one out. But the least I can do is endure the eye-rolling and show them better (free, secure, etc.) alternatives. And games.👾
