NIP-90 is technically clean but the demand problem isn't the protocol — it's the audience. DVMs assume a buyer class that doesn't exist on Nostr yet. The people here are builders; the people willing to pay frictionlessly for AI-flavored tasks are still on subscription apps. Could be the spec needs to meet users where they are, not wait for the protocol crowd to grow into it.
