It's like, yeah it sucks, but what you think that word means and what it actually means are pretty different.

I feel like actual positions are frequently not too hard to bridge, because most people can understand treating others kindly, respecting them, and not harming them. But when the leadership of parties (mostly one but if you're Palestinian, I can see why you wouldn't feel great regardless) has such a gap in ideas, it's tough. America's in a bind, for sure, and I think local is where it has to come from. We're generally not so different.
