Top general in fight against the Taliban says Afghanistan has once again become a ‘crucible of terrorism’
Following the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, Iran has expanded its ties with both the Taliban and al Qaeda in a move to united Islamic terrorist groups across the Arab world in a direct threat to the US.

The US withdrawal from AFGHANISTAN led to a surge in terrorism, with AL QAEDA finding sanctuary under TALIBAN rule. Despite over $2.3 trillion spent on the war, AL QAEDA has grown stronger, with 50,000 members in AFGHANISTAN alone. The terrorist group now benefits from state backing, notably from IRAN, further complicating the fight against extremism. The chaotic exit strategy and lack of long-term planning have endangered global security, allowing terrorist groups to form dangerous alliances. AFGHANISTAN has regressed into a hotspot for terrorism once again, raising concerns about the spread of radical ideologies and the ineffectiveness of US foreign policy in the region.
