until they don’t.

This screenshot from earlier says everything.

It was a short outage.
It happens.

But if your work only exists there…
everything disappears behind a status page.

No posts.
No audience.
No access.

Just a message:
*“We are working to restore service.”*

This is the illusion.

Access is not ownership.
Availability is not authority.

(Substack is a mirror for me — not the source.)

This is why I built Continuum.

A local-first system
where identity, content, and authorship
do not depend on a platform being online.
