Probably. I am assuming the compost was hot for some time, then cooled. My guess is the leftover carbon is supporting the fungus and will help it breakdown faster and more homogenously. I dont really think there is a bad way to make compost given enough time. When in doubt i use it as mulch and let nature figure out what to do as i sit back and make notes.
