I turned 33 today, born in Yugoslavia. Between 1992 and 1994, hyperinflation devastated the region, peaking at a staggering 313 million percent per month in January 1994, one of the worst economic disasters in history. Prices doubled every few days, obliterating savings, ruining lives, and rendering money worthless.
