You know what just hit me?
Linux isn't the janky nerd operating system any more. It's polished. It works well. You can give it to your grandma and probably get away with it.
If I was still young and carefree, this realization would inspire me to try out some other, jankier OSes.
But I have work and responsibilities now, and this whole godawful decade has been a non-stop crisis that I'll be lucky to survive, let alone find time for a vacation.
