This week BTC Map (npub1864…t2tq) was serving me well again when I bought a pair of fabulous shoes at Atheist Shoes in Berlin (https://btcmap.org/map#17/52.52509/13.40130). When I told the owner that I thought it was very cool that he was accepting Bitcoin, he said that he no longer does because there were very few customers buying with Bitcoin, and that his service provider had terminated the service. Ten minutes later, he was gladly accepting Bitcoin again. I think he was just early, and that the kind of nerds buying his shoes did not overlap with the Bitcoin kind of nerds. I can see the two subgroups converging... Cool store and super friendly owner.
