Activism isn’t cute & safe. You don’t think Dr. King & others left their homes knowing there’s a reasonable chance they won’t make it back? Not everyone is willing to die for a cause but many of us are lucky that there have been those folks. Us Black & Brown folks owe a lot to those types, freedom isn’t free. Be it slavery and civil rights people regularly were physically harmed and killed. I’m not stating ppl just need to be harassed but I am saying ppl need tougher skin. Some of you have meltdowns over mean words said online. How tf do you think you’ll make it safer for marginalised folks? In the real world you’ll encounter much more than that attempting to change the world
