I was raised with the concept: “you need to go to school as long as possible, work min 40-50h weeks and you’ll be able to afford your own place at some point”

And though I agree education is very important the issue however is the pressure and age, I’ve done 2 studies that resulted in massive debt that I still repay and degrees that are useless nowadays

The costs of living exceeds two incomes at this point so a ‘place for yourself’ is a distant dream

Maybe this worked a few decades ago..
