Hi Wendy
I had known I had cataract for about 10 years (optometrist told me at specs review). I had my new lens (right) in early May this year & what I notice most is my visual field to the right is back to normal & I can cut things (gardening, DIY) without having to hold them with my left hand so I know where they are. I also had to be very cautious driving as the loss of VF was on the driver's side (UK). I didn't notice much colour difference except to distinguish navy/black which is now easier. Thanks for your comments after you had the op, which helped me not to be so nervous. I shall have the left one done when it comes round. The right one was 7 months (NHS).
