In other news, my life has been slightly upended, and my time on social media greatly diminished.
Good news: After storming out of an IEP meeting less than 45 seconds after it started, we had two amazing meetings. We crafted what should be a very good IEP.
Better news: Both of my kids had fantastic school years. The oldest, after a rough start, excelled in band and academics. The youngest made great progress socially and academically.
Bad news: My FIL never made it out of the hospital. In for a week, out for a week, back in for another week for something unrelated, and then a rapid decline on the day he was to be released.
Worse news: My MIL, who divorced my FIL 34 years ago and remarried about 20 years ago, is off her rocker.
Worstest (making up words) news: Funerals are really expensive, and my in-laws (all of them) are really bad at math.
