I didn't say we have to comply, as I said, they can't enforce it on all the thousands of volunteer distro maintainers anyways. They just think they can, because they are a bunch of boomers who don't know how Linux and FOSS works.
I mean you can of course do what every content creator says that you write a letter to authorities and express your disagreement, but they will push it through anyways because they want full control over us, want total surveillance. Delaying compliance won't help much here. The best thing we can do is to look for alternative ways to protect our privacy, like finding a distro which doesn't comply
