I find it interesting that most of the intelligent discourse about the uneasy relationship between Maths and generative AI is happening on Mastodon.
Maybe it is because a number of pure mathematicians ended up here after the Twitter debacle. Maybe it is because Mastodon is better suited than other socials to nuanced discussions. Or maybe it is just because Terence Tao is here, and he is a great catalyst for intelligent discussions.
I don't know why, but it is still interesting.
