A couple of days after GCSE results, we are going to bed for the night in a caving depot ready for our most challenging father and daughter trip yet. Daughter asks me to tuck them in and say goodnight. Then adds “Don’t squeeze me too hard, I’m full of beer!”. Parenting done right.
