I have a feeling, not yet filtered into reasonable thoughts & distilled into a proper argument, that the next phase of free software should focus on..:
1. software written by people (as opposed to businesses or their LLM pseudopods),
2. for people (as opposed to "customers" or other businesses),
3. using participatory processes (as opposed to projects like Android that accept no contributions, or have closed bug trackers or mailing lists),
4. emphasizing users learning & changing core code.
