Ok yeah that's true, there's a lot of "conquering and civilizing the barbarians" throughout history. Might even date back to the first pre civilization tribes, although their range of effect would've been severely more limited... I mean even monkeys do this kind of shit in their own way, attack other troops so their own is safer/has more resources etc. So it probably predates humanity lol, and we're just trying to justify monkey brain tribalist behavior through a modern lens.
