Sorry to say, it sounds like you went into Obsidian without a clue of how to set it properly. And the resulting mess isn't an Obsidian issue, it's your inability to organise yourself beforehand. Don't worry, you're not the first and you certainly won't be the last. I too was a victim of poor forethought. Glad I stayed with it.
