We really should have proportional government at the provincial level first. No government has successfully implemented one. Personally, given that we are regionally/riding represented, I'd prefer ranked ballot for each riding. Just because a few regions are stoutly sided with one party doesn't mean that region should have more say than the riding with more diverse support. "Making my vote count" is a red herring. It already counts for showing how a riding thinks.
