Bye then, Matera. We left early in the morning and were supposed to take a replacement bus just to Altamura. But somehow we managed to take a bus that went all the way to Bari. Which was nice, or maybe not. Trains are nicer. The bus took a slow route through the clogged Altamura centre and we wondered why so many are joining just for a short trip to Altamura station. But then the bus didn’t go to the station but continued to Bari. Oh well. We have plenty of time before our train to Rome departs.
