It is much more comfortable than sleeping in a coach seat on an airline. That's for sure. And evidently people do it.

But it is nice to have a pillow, linens, and the ability to stretch out more comfortably. The first time I took a sleeper car instead of coach on a familiar route for an overnight trip, I felt so different when I arrived to the final destination.
